VP of Real Estate Development

  • Responsible for company’s expansion into new single-family residential markets within DFW.
  • Assist with identifying potential land development sites, then plans and coordinates acquisition and development of sites
  • Negotiate land acquisition, assist with forecasting and financial performance
  • Procure approvals from proper government authorities for all development and construction of projects
  • Manage contract execution to ensure compliance with and for all entitlement needs
  • Manage plan preparation, bids and construction teams after acquisition
  • Research site utility availability, coordinate surveys, etc.
  • Conduct feasibility study (market, land planning, construction estimates and review of ordinances)
  • Work closely with city to obtain proper zoning and any other city requirement
  • Compile information for investment books
  • Review construction documents
  • Direct due diligence process and market research for new land acquisition including coordination with internal design and development teams, and in-depth presentation to investment committee
  • Attend trade conferences to exhibit and develop new business, build and maintain rapport with local, regional and nation residential builders
  • Operates HOAs through development, including meetings with residents and land developers

  • Undergraduate degree in construction or real estate development or related field, graduate degree preferred
  • 8+ years of real estate development experience, with the majority in the NTX region
  • Experience managing relationships with owner representatives, government entities, and clients on a professional level
  • Strong leadership attributes, a self-starter and is results oriented in a team environment
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to join a quickly growing company with tremendous growth potential
  • CCIM or real estate brokerage license a plus
